What does she know?

There is more than meets the eye

Sometimes doing what I do is challenging.

I am fairly young (26) and I am not overweight.  What do I know about weight loss? About struggling with motivation, emotional  eating,  sugar cravings and whatever else you can think about… What do I know?

You’re right. I am not overweight, well not right now.

But I used to be. I too used to be controlled by my emotions, letting them affect me and decide if it was going to be a “good” day or not. I too have been through every diet you can think of, I too have lied awake many nights, planning and promising myself that tomorrow I’ll do better, I will exercise, I will only eat “this much” and “I really think it will work this time”, but it didn’t.

After years, in fact probably 10 years of dieting and being really hard on myself, I have learnt to love, respect and treat my body the way it deserves to be treated. Not every day, but most days.

Sometimes people assume that because you have a certain title, “it must be sooooo easy for you”.

Yes, I am a PT, and a Chef and a Nutritionist, but trust me when I say this, it has not been a walk in the park. Earning these titles have been challenging , and rewarding, but not easy.

I want to use my personal and professional experience to help women who are going through what I once went through. There is another way and you can get to where you want to be. I am just here to make sure you enjoy the journey… You don’t have to punish and deprive your body of food and fun in order to lose weight, I have done it both ways, and I prefer the sustainable, kind and enjoyable lifestyle I have today.

It is not going to be easy, there will be ups and downs, like anything else and it is true what they say, nothing worth having comes easy!
